Auschwitz - Birkenau (Auschwitz 2) Death Camp End of the Line

These rail tracks are the very end of the railway system that brought around one million Jews and others to their deaths in the Auschwitz - Birkenau (Auschwitz 2) Gas Chambers. They were packed into cattle wagons and transported from all over Europe. Whilst some were selected for slave labour, the majority were murdered in the chambers, which were situated next to the tracks. November 2014.
